Built by educators, learning scientists, and engineers.
We're a small team in Portland, Oregon. Collectively we've spent decades in classrooms, curriculum offices, and research labs — and we think the gap between what those worlds know about learning and what software actually delivers is enormous. Brainpathio is our attempt to close it.
Former curriculum designer at a nonprofit educational publisher. Graduate certificate in cognitive science and learning analytics. Built Brainpathio after watching students repeat misconceptions no one had identified.
Fifteen years in learning science research, including work on misconception taxonomies in mathematics and physical science. Designed the conceptual gap model at the core of Brainpathio's taxonomy.
Background in data engineering and recommendation systems. Designed the adaptive path-selection algorithm and the teacher dashboard data pipeline. Cares deeply about building products that teachers can actually trust.
Spent a decade as a middle school STEM teacher before moving into curriculum development. Builds and validates problem sets, maintains alignment with state curriculum standards, and coordinates teacher feedback from pilot cohorts.
